The Process | Understanding Islet Cell Isolation
This video explains the process of islet cell isolation, an essential step in islet auto-transplantation. It begins with the extraction and digestion of the pancreas to isolate cells that are then purified and prepared for transplantation. Once ready they are infused back into the patient liver to embed where it is expected to start to start producing insulin again.
