- Biography:
Neil Bhardwaj was appointed to the Leicester HPB unit in 2015. He graduated from Leicester Medical School in 2001 and undertook an MD in Leicester between 2005-2007 where his research focused on ablation of liver tumours.
He undertook his surgical training in Leicester along with fellowships in Adelaide and Oxford. He was awarded a Masters in Minimal Invasive surgery (MMIS) from the University of Adelaide and a PGCert. in Medical Education from the University of Dundee. He is the Trent representative for the Association of Upper GI surgeons and has published widely in the field of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary surgery. His main interests include ablative technologies to treat unresectable liver tumours and laparoscopic (minimally invasive surgery). He is the joint lead for undergraduate surgical education at Leicester Medical School.
