  • Biography:
Giuseppe was appointed as a Consultant HPB Surgeon in Leicester in 2011. He was appointed to Deputy Medical Director for Planned Care in 2023. His previous roles have included Head of Service for GI Surgery, Chair of the HPB MDT and the East Midlands ECAG, Upper GI Cancer Research Lead and Clinical Director for Oncology, Haematology, Gastroenterology, GI Surgery, Urology and Palliative Medicine.

He has held an honorary title with the University of Leicester in Cancer Studies and Molecular Medicine since 2018. He supports the operational team in all aspects of Planned Care at UHL including productivity and elective pathways. He remains a high volume Liver and Pancreatic Cancer surgeon and has published over 200 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals with an h-index of 62.

Outside of work his hobbies are Formula 1 racing, mountain biking and spending time with his family.
