Dr Cathy Richards has been a Consultant Histopathologist in Leicester since 1999. She is a gastrointestinal (GI) and hepatobiliary/pancreatic (HPB) specialist and also leads for sarcomas, GISTs, thoracic pathology and mesotheliomas. She has worked at Harvard, MA, with recognised experts in the fields of sarcoma and GI/HPB pathology. Cathy is Regional Training Programme Director and a medical appraiser as well as having management responsibilities within EMPath (joint pathology enterprise between the University Hospitals of Leicester and Nottingham).

She is kept busy outside work with a young family and her interests include travelling, gardening and photography.
